Additional uses for security systems

Range extenders increase the wireless coverage area and give security system equipment even more placement flexibility. You can assure the security, and automation of a business centre, large estate, warehouse complex, or a large production facility by connecting all or some of the devices to ReX 2. Within the Ajax system, 5 range extenders may increase the radio network's coverage area to 35 km2 in a star formation. Events and alarms are relayed promptly, and in only 10 seconds, the monitoring station and users receive the first photo verification image.

Alarm verification via photos

MotionCam and MotionCam Outdoor motion detectors are compatible with ReX 2. They take a series of photos after being activated, which can be used to evaluate the status of on-site alarms. As a result, fewer pointless patrol assignments are made, offering better peace of mind. Privacy comes first. When the security system is armed and motion is detected, the detector turns on its camera. During every stage of transmission, shots are encrypted. No photos are processed or examined while they are being kept on the Ajax Cloud server. Only users with access rights to the events feed with push notifications enabled and security firm staff can view visual alarm verifications.

The ReX 2 range extender will connect to the hub not only by radio but also over Ethernet using the wire as the only or extra communication channel with the OS Malevich 2.13 operating system update. An office complex with subterranean parking, a segmented metal hangar, or a warehouse complex with multiple large buildings can all be covered by a single Ajax panel.

Effortless installation

The connection and configuration process for ReX 2 significantly speeds up installation. Simply scan a QR code with the Ajax app, give it a name, and designate a room to add a range extender to a system. The software also allows for real-time device configuration. ReX 2 can, if required, be turned off or modified without requiring a site visit.
