Introducing Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor: the advanced wireless outdoor bidirectional curtain motion detector. Equipped with anti-masking technology, it ensures reliable detection in outdoor environments. With a battery life of up to 4 years, it offers long-term security without frequent battery changes.
DualCurtain Outdoor manages the perimeter of your property without posing a barrier to those who are already inside. Two independent optical systems with small viewing sectors and variable settings allow you to precisely adjust 30 metres of the detection zone, excluding potential causes of false alarms. A special program called ELSA (Extended Live Signal Analysis) responds to intrusions while filtering out triggers like environmental interferences and pets.
Two optical systems with restricted viewing areas and two PIR sensors each are mounted on the detector's flanks. Temperature adjustment ensures that detection is always precise. Our new ELSA digital algorithm examines sensor signal data. The detector only triggers an alarm if two sensors from the same optical system simultaneously detect human motion.
Both optical systems' detection ranges can be altered separately. It enables you to precisely define the area that DualCurtain Outdoor is watching over and prevents false alarms brought on by a bush swinging in the breeze or people walking by on a public walkway. The optical systems can be adjusted vertically to prevent a column or eves throughs on a facade from obstructing the detector's field of vision. You can change the sensitivity or turn off one of the optical systems via the app.
Unlike other outdoor curtain motion detectors, DualCurtain Outdoor has a technology that allows it to increase the covered area. When Near Area Detection is on, the upper PIR sensor of the detector receives a second, narrow viewing sector that is 40 degrees lower than the primary sector. The function addresses the issue of the blind area, which is a common issue with such detectors, by enabling both sensors to detect movement when a human passes the protected perimeter close to the detector's body. The goal of near area detection is to safeguard windows and other openings that are inaccessible to animals. The effectiveness of pet immunity is considerably decreased by the vectors in the detecting zones' proximity.
Even if Ajax is disarmed, DualCurtain Outdoor cannot be blinded or disabled. The optical systems of the Detector are strengthened by cutting-edge masking sensors that react to obstruction attempts such as covering and painting the lenses. The device cannot be removed from the mount thanks to the tamper. Even if the detector is quickly destroyed, it will still take less than a minute for the hub to notice a communication loss and alert users and a central monitoring station to the issue.
DualCurtain Outdoor can run for years on pre-installed batteries because of its low energy usage. The need for device maintenance will be announced in advance to a monitoring station and to the owner.
The installation engineer's time is best utilised during the connection and configuration of DualCurtain Outdoor. All you need to do to add a detector to the system is scan the QR code with the Ajax app and give it a name and room. As you test the detection zones and connectivity, configure the device live in the app. Without having to visit the site, the detector's system parameters can be remotely changed or disabled as needed.
