The Protege GXDINRail Single Door Controller is a key component in the Protege GX system, serving as the central processing unit for security, access control, and building automation. This controller manages all system modules, processes communication, stores configuration and transaction data, and reports alarms and system activity to a monitoring station or remote computer.

Notable features include an internal 10/100 Ethernet connection, advanced 32-bit RISC processor with 2GB total memory, and encrypted RS-485 communication. The device supports high-security operations with NIST-certified AES encryption (128, 192, and 256-bit) and includes a factory-loaded HTTPS certificate.
