The Protege GXDINRail Single Door Controller is a key component in the Protege GX system, serving as the central processing unit for security, access control, and building automation. This controller manages all system modules, processes communication, stores configuration and transaction data, and reports alarms and system activity to a monitoring station or remote computer.

Notable features include an internal 10/100 Ethernet connection, advanced 32-bit RISC processor with 2GB total memory, and encrypted RS-485 communication. The device supports high-security operations with NIST-certified AES encryption (128, 192, and 256-bit) and includes a factory-loaded HTTPS certificate. It also offers one RS-485 reader port for entry and exit control, two high-security monitored inputs, a high-current Form C relay output, and a USB port. Designed for industry-standard DIN rail mounting, this controller is compatible with all Protege expander modules and allows for firmware upgrades directly from the Protege GX software.
