The Protege DIN Rail 2 Door Reader Expander enhances the Protege system by providing up to four reader inputs and two locking device outputs, making it ideal for access management. With eight inputs for extended monitoring and six open collector outputs for controlling various devices, this expander is designed to support flexible security, access control, alarm monitoring, and building automation.

The expander is equipped with two reader ports, which can be independently configured for Wiegand or RS-485 operation, including OSDP configuration. It supports dual entry and exit door setups by connecting up to four readers, offering versatile access control solutions. Additionally, the expander features a fused and monitored reader power supply, ensuring reliable operation.

Designed for industry-standard DIN rail mounting, the Protege DIN Rail 2 Door Reader Expander also supports intelligent tamper monitoring and offline functions, including No Users, All Users, and First 10 Users modes, with a 150 card cache. It offers over 40 predefined reading formats and allows control of up to three outputs per reader port, providing a comprehensive solution for access control and security management.
