The Protege DIN Rail 4-Channel Analog Input Expander significantly enhances the integration capabilities of the Protege system by enabling the connection of various industrial automation sensors. It supports industry-standard 0 to 10V signals and self-powered 4-20mA current loop sensors. With its four highly configurable analog input channels, this expander allows for precise input data processing, including comparison functions, process control calculations, variable displays, and alarm activations.
This expander features high-resolution 10-bit inputs with 5x oversampling, ensuring accurate data collection. Each channel offers programmable deviation trigger levels and individual restore options, allowing for tailored configurations. The device also includes 12VDC pass-through and 24VDC internally generated supply outputs to power-connected sensors. Secure, encrypted RS-485 communications ensure reliable and protected data transmission. Additionally, the expander supports online firmware upgrades and is designed for seamless installation on industry-standard DIN rails, making it an essential component for advanced automation and security systems.
