The tSec Extra Reader offers a comprehensive multi-technology smart card RFID solution, compatible with all Wiegand-capable control systems and featuring RS-485 communication. This reader enables the swift deployment of secure technology in any environment. Available in multiple card capabilities, including 13.56MHz and 125kHz wireless technology, and offering a choice of black or white finishes the tSec Extra Reader can be tailored to meet the specific needs and decor of any installation.

This versatile reader supports multi-card technology, providing compatibility with DESFire, MIFARE, and 125kHz cards from a single device. It features encrypted RS-485 communication or a standard Wiegand connection, along with optional Bluetooth® and NFC credential reading, ensuring robust security and flexibility. The tSec Extra Reader also supports the OSDP communication protocol with Secure Channel, enhancing secure data transmission.

With a read range of up to 60mm (2.36") for proximity ISO cards, the reader ensures efficient operation. Its configurable LED strip allows for two-color control (blue and green) via external LED wiring, with 16 selectable colors for Protege function codes when using RS-485. The reader’s fully encapsulated design, with an IP65 environmental rating, makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The tSec Extra Reader is designed to fit standard wall plate sizes, making it ideal for replacing existing fittings. Optional accessories further expand the range of installation possibilities, providing a flexible and reliable solution for modern access control systems.
